That's one of the many reasons why we make it our mission to create exquisite dresses that will make you look and feel beautiful. When you place your trust in David's Bridal you can be confident and relaxed, knowing you will look your very best.
Every David's dress design is created with a strong attention to detail and high quality craftsmanship. Fine fabrics and hand-beaded embellishments are just the beginning. Underneath it all, David's Bridal dresses feature quality lining and inner construction details that help create a flattering shape and drape.
The majority of women's clothing lines, including bridal collections, are based on a size 8 sample that is graded to create a full range of sizes. David's Bridal is different because we recognize that each size is different. Our fit is based on extensive research with thousands of real brides in every shape and size. For our Woman sizing, our fit model is size 18W and each pattern is adjusted according to our research using real customers' measurements. By basing our sizing on realistic models, our dresses will fit and flatter you like no other.
Find the perfect dress for every body type & wedding style.
The A-line silhouette features a fitted bodice that gradually flares from the waist, creating a smooth, elongated line. A-line styles are flattering for all heights, shapes and sizes, as they miraculously help accent and create fabulous curves. A-line styles can be soft and fluid, or you may choose to enhance the shape and structure with the addition of a full slip.
Tip: This style dress fits closely on the bust and waist, therefore choose the size by using the larger measurement in those areas. The ball gown is a classic dress shape that creates just the right proportion by balancing a fitted bodice with a voluminous skirt. The most traditional of all dress silhouettes, the ball gown adds curves by defining the waist and flowing gracefully into a full skirt. The skirt is great at hiding full hips and creating a gorgeous hourglass figure. This regal style looks great on most body types and is a perfect choice for a formal or romantic destination-inspired wedding. The PICK-UP gown is a modern interpretation of this silhouette, adding skirt interest and detail.
Tip: This dress style fits closely on the bust and waist, therefore choose the size by using the larger measurement in those areas. Strapless gowns should fit closely on the bust and bodice in order to provide adequate support, so pay special attention to the bust measurement. The hip should have a full and generous fit. Expert alterations are available at every David's Bridal location to ensure that your dress is a perfect fit. Contact a store near you for Alterations pricing and appointments.
This lingerie-inspired dress features a slim profile that elegantly contours to your natural silhouette. Some sheaths have a flowing or column shape, while others closely follow the curves of the body. Either way, the look is stunning. Sheaths look fabulous on a long and lean figure, yet they can also make a petite or full-figured woman appear taller and statuesque. The sheath's versatile and glamorous styling make it perfect for an informal or beach wedding, as well as a modern chic affair at any location.
Tip: This slim dress style fits close on the bust, waist, and hips. All three areas are important to the fit, therefore choose the size by considering the largest measurement. Expert alterations are available at every David's Bridal location to ensure that your dress is a perfect fit. Contact a store near you for Alterations pricing and appointments.
Also known as the fit-and-flare, this dress is fitted at the top and flairs dramatically around the knee. The feminine, hourglass silhouette accentuates the bust, waist and hips, so it is perfect for showing off your curves. This sophisticated style is an ideal choice for a glamorous bride in any setting.
This dress style features a bodice with a high waistline directly below the bust. The empire silhouette draws attention up and enhances your waist, while at the same time flattering your hips, making it a great look for most body types. The fabric and cut determine whether the look is soft and flowing (think Grecian Goddess) or more structured and classic.
Tip: The high waist is the signature of an empire dress and therefore the bust measurement is important. The style should fit snugly across the bust and midriff, yet flow at the waist and hip. Expert alterations are available at every David's Bridal location to ensure that your dress is a perfect fit. Contact a store near you for Alterations pricing and appointments.
Shorter tea-length dresses feature a hem that falls between the bottom of the knee and the bottom of the calf (typically several inches above the ankle), creating a look that is elegant, yet casual. The style is perfect for a modern bride getting married during the day or having an informal wedding. And it goes without saying that tea-length dresses are ideal for showing off your legs and a fabulous pair of shoes! Tea-length styles are also a popular choice for a second dress you can wear at your reception to dance the night away.
Tip: Tea-length dresses look lovely no matter where they hit your lower leg, so the exact length is really a matter of personal preference. As with other styles, the bust, waist, and hip measurements are important to the fit, therefore choose the size by considering your largest measurement. Expert alterations are available at every David's Bridal location to ensure that your dress is a perfect fit. Contact a store near you for Alterations pricing and appointments.

You may want to consider getting professionally measured, or use our How to Measure guide to measure yourself or work with our virtual stylist. Consult the Size Charts and Fit Guide to determine which size you should purchase.
Measure from the center of the collarbone (Hollow) to the dress hem. Note: The length is not measured starting from the garment neckline.
