Flower Girl Inspiration

Head-to-toe flower girl outfit ideas with Lipgloss & Crayons.

We asked our friend Carly of the lifestyle and family blog Lipgloss & Crayons and her adorable daughter to test out some of our latest flower girl dresses and accessories…and lucky for us, sweet Lydia was happy to play dress up for the day! To provide plenty of flower girl inspiration, we had her test out three different flower girl looks, complete with all the darling accessories. Read on for your daily dose of cuteness.

Classic with a Twist

A colored sash updates a classic white tulle flower girl dress.

First, Lydia tried a classic white tulle tea length ball gown. A deep blue sash was added in place of the dress’s white ribbon belt to bring a dose of color. Jeweled sandals and a sparkly tiara are touches fit for a little princess and a coordinating flower basket completes the look. Pro tip: Coordinate your flower girl with your bridal party by choosing a sash in the same color as your ‘maids dresses or mix things up by opting for a lighter or darker shade.

Boho Baby

Swiss dot and crocheted cap sleeves make this Bohemian flower girl dress feel special.

Next, Lydia tried a more casual, Boho flower girl dress. The swiss dot and crochet details have a vintage feel, and sandals and a flower crown (real or faux) finish her outfit. This flower girl outfit is perfect for an outdoor wedding with a more casual dress code.

Pretty in Pink

Bring more color to your bridal party with a colored flower girl dress.

Finally, Lydia tried a lace and tulle ball gown flower girl dress in pale pink. Colored wedding dresses are trending and we’ve noticed more brides requesting colored flower girl dresses, too. A sweet crown of pink rosebuds and glittery accessories provide plenty of girly, twirly flower girl inspiration.
