Can I purchase a gown on-line or over the telephone?

All dresses must be ordered directly from one of our stores. However, because all sales are final, we strongly encourage you to visit a store to make a purchase. This will allow you to utilize the expertise of our Bridal Consultants, and a chance to try on all of the styles you like. Bridal gowns fit differently than other clothing, so the correct size for you is likely to be different from the size you wear in everyday clothing.

We do not ship overseas because of customs issues. If you live outside the U.S. or Puerto Rico, and you have someone else purchase for you from one of our stores, this person is responsible for mailing the merchandise to you. It is important for you to know that all sales are final, and we do not accept returns or exchanges. This is the standard practice in the bridal and special occasion business.



Do I need an appointment?

We encourage you to make an appointment so that we can provide a more personal service experience. However, we occasionally run behind during busy times. If this occurs, we'll do everything possible to make your wait a short one. Here's a tip: if your schedule permits, make an appointment for a weekday or evening. Since we are less busy during those hours, we'll have more time to help you find everything you need for your dream wedding. Walk-in customers are always welcome.



Do you accept returns?

All sales are final. This final sale policy is consistent with the industry standard for bridal and special occasion apparel.



Can I get extra fabric?

Fabric can be ordered from some manufacturers. Your wedding consultant can check on the availability of fabric. Dyelots can vary, therefore it is not always recommended.



What if the store I visit doesn't have the gown I want in my size or color?

Every David's Bridal store carries hundreds of bridal gowns in sizes 2 to 26 in white and ivory. However, if your selection is not in stock in your color choice or size, ask your consultant whether your selection is available as a special order. If available, your prepaid special order can usually be shipped to your store within 6-12 weeks of order confirmation (add two weeks in Puerto Rico).



Do you provide alterations?

Our in-store alterations department can custom fit any of the merchandise we sell. Charges are based on the work that needs to be completed. Do you have payment options?

We accept cash, personal checks and major credit cards. For a limited time, we are offering 6 months, no interest financing* with your David's Bridal charge card on approved purchases. How will my out-of-town bridesmaids order their dresses?

Out-of-town bridesmaids may visit any of the over 240 David's Bridal locations to see the style you have chosen and to try it on to determine the appropriate size. We recommend that the entire bridal party purchase from one store to ensure consistent follow-up and dyelot control, as dyelots can vary.



How do I begin selecting bridesmaids' dresses?

After choosing your nearest-and-dearest friends to be a part of the big day, consider their style and color preferences as well as their figure types. A-Line and Princess silhouettes are ideal for most figures, as they do not have a distinct waistline and give an uninterrupted, slimming appearance. For a more formal look that will compliment small waists, a full-skirted ball gown is an option. You'll find a great selection at every David's Bridal store.



How do I choose a color for my bridesmaids' dresses?

Choose a color that will flatter your bridesmaids and offer an appropriate complement to your own gown. Pretty pinks like rosebud and beautiful colors like coral look great with most skin tones.



How long will it take until my bridesmaids' dresses are delivered?

For your convenience, David's Bridal offers a range of styles and sizes in stock so your bridesmaids can purchase them with no ordering delays. David's also offers two special order bridesmaid dress delivery programs. Dresses in the David's "Color Expressions" program are generally shipped within six weeks. Make a Match generally shipped within eight weeks.

These delivery time frames begin when all of the dresses in your party are fully paid and the order is placed. Delivery time frames can vary in peak season. Remember to also allow time for alterations.

Do bridesmaids really have to spend a lot on a dress they may only wear once?

Good news for bridesmaids...the newest trend is wear-again dresses that transcend the wedding day and can be worn for any special occasion. David's Bridal designers have heard the demands of savvy customers and offer fashion-forward, reasonably priced styles that won't end up in the back of the closet.



What accessories should I suggest for my bridesmaids to wear?

David's Bridal can complete your bridesmaids' ensemble with accessories from head to toe! Gloves are a great year-round accent and look particularly elegant in elbow length. They come in a bouquet of colors and add elegance to any bare dress. Earrings bring attention to the face while a dainty necklace can add the perfect touch to a neckline. Evening jewelry is available in rhinestones and pearls. To complete the whole look, select handbags and shoes in fashion colors or dyed to complement their dresses, in the season's newest styles, including chunky heels, platforms and strappy styles. To bring the whole look together, we offer shimmering shades of hosiery.



When should I order my bridesmaids' dresses?

If you are shopping early, you must be prepared to buy early because the style you like may not be available in the future. We also recommend that the entire bridal party purchase/order from one store location within ten days of style selection to ensure availability and consistent dyelots.

The Store Manager at each location will be happy to answer your questions and discuss your concerns. The store locator will provide you with the phone number and address of the store closest to you.
