Wedding Wednesday! “Real Bride” Chandra reveals her fabulous Honeymoon plans organized by her Fiance!Wednesday, September 25th, 2013
Good Morning DB Readers and Happy Wedding Wednesday! Today our “Real Bride” Chandra blogged about her amazing fiance Daniel, and how he is taking part in the wedding planning process! No matter what the decision is, he wants it to ultimately be Chandra’s choice, since it’s her big day! We were so shocked when he surprised her with AMAZING Honeymoon plans after their wedding! Enjoy Chandra’s blog!
How involved was Daniel in the wedding planning process, you ask? Well, he was actually very gung-ho about the WHOLE thing! The day after he proposed to me, he wanted to start planning right away for our big day! He was just as giddy and excited as I was – which even made me that more excited to see his reaction about everything- like when we visited venues or went cake tasting (which I think was his favorite part) & started our wedding registry.
They were all such fun experiences and the fact that he really wanted to be there made it that much better. At the end of every situation – whether it be choosing the venue, caterer, flowers, colors and anything else you can think of – he would give me his opinion (which most of the time was synced perfectly in-tune with mine) and then tell me “It’s your day baby, you get to choose what you want.” Which ultimately, in several cases, this response didn’t help me much. Especially when it came to the nitty-gritty decisions that I needed to make – like whether we should go with off-white or ivory napkins. (lol) When it came down to his tux – he even let me pick out the type of tux I wanted him to wear. He has told me over and over that nothing matters except that I’m the one who’s walking down the aisle to him on November 9th J *aaaaaand my heart melts…now*
When it came to the honeymoon planning – Daniel was all bout’ it bout’ it! While he was working in San Diego, he surprised me and booked our honeymoon while he was away and planned it all to the tee! We are flying to New York City for a few days and then jet-setting to Ireland to spend a week in a castle and bed & breakfasts’ throughout the countryside – while exploring the land, doing all sorts of newlywed/honeymoon-like activities. Can you say EXCITING! He even planned the whole trip by himself – bought us tickets to Broadway shows, made dinner reservations at the tastiest restaurants, came up with the fun adventures we will go on and the list goes on and on.
He told me that he wants to do “all of the touristy things with me” – which I am ALL about. We probably won’t be sleeping much and I will be sure to pack at least one big box of 5-hour energy’s. He’s just amazing. To have someone who is just as excited to explore the world with the love of their life is an indescribable feeling and I’m just beyond thrilled. We’re going on our honeymoon 20 days after we are married since I still have school and can’t miss a day. But the great side of that is we have two separate occasions in November that we are really, really, really looking forward to! Plus, I won’t have to worry about packing for the trip right before our wedding – which is a super plus. You should see the luggage I bring. It’s insane. I pack enough to nearly clothe a third world country. Oh & you guys better believe that I am taking my handy-dandy camera to document it all and will be taking tons of pictures for you guys!
