What to Wear to a Fourth of July BBQ
by Cassandra Morris
School is out (or close to it), and you can practically taste the chicken, hotdogs, and burgers that you’ll be feasting on at your friends’ and your family’s barbecues all summer long. Bye, bye school lunches.
Some barbecues call for a cuter outfit than others… especially the ones that last until after sunset and have cute guys on the guest list—like on Fourth of July weekend. Here are a few of my favorites that will leave all eyes on you, even while the fireworks are taking place.
Fearless and Flirt-worthy
This summery teal dress is perfect for Fourth of July parties day or night, and is especially trendy because of the single batwing sleeve. Dress it up with a pair of chunky wedges in the evening or go more casual with flat open-toed sandals in the sunlight.
Delicate and Darling
You’ll want to frolic in the breeze while wearing this dress. Made of crinkle chiffon and featuring a sparkling sequin trim, this red dress is for the sweet gal who wants to have an endless summer. Best of all, it comes in five colors including patriotic Apple Red … so fashionistas can take their pick.
Summer is the season to rock vibrant watercolor prints, and in this dress, you’ll capture that look to a T. Pair this outfit with a bright red lip gloss and equally colorful wedges to really go wild.
Fancy Flip Flops
If you live in flip flops during the summer, you’ll need a pair that’s a little dressier for barbecues and parties. These feature sparkly rhinestones all around, and will match nearly any dress. Don’t forget a bright pedicure!
