Spring is in the air! And with the spring season, comes prom season! Prom is a teen girl’s chance at a true red-carpet moment, so shopping for the ideal dress option is of vital importance. The key to the perfect prom dress is to embrace your unique style and wear something that showcases your individuality. There are so many great trends out there to do so; here are some to wet your appetite before shopping.
I am in love with the ball gown silhouette. Nothing makes you feel as beautiful and feminine as a ball gown, and this year there are so many fabulous options. A full tulle skirt in a soft or neutral color is sure to make you feel like a princess, but there are some spicier options as well. An eye-popping bright will ensure all eyes are on you. Another great ball gown trend this season is what I call the “transformer”; styles that give you the ball gown look with a removable skirt that can be detached from a short party dress underneath. With these gowns you not only have the option to shed the big skirt for the after party, but you can also wear the same dress for college formals without anyone being the wiser!
I am also crazy about heavily embellished details. Necklace necklines and spray back beading are chic and oh so glamorous! Go for a sexier vibe without showing too much by opting for an open back with beading down to the train, or go sweeter in chic soft pink with a full pearl necklace.
No matter what you end up with, make sure it’s something that represents you.
