Wedding Wednesday! Great Money Saving Tips From Our “Real Bride” Chandra For the Bride To Be!

Today I have a few of my best budget tips for all of you brides-to-be!

First off, I HIGHLY recommend hiring a wedding day coordinator. This person will be your best friend for the entire day and you will want to put them on a pedestal afterwards. They relieve any and all stress of the day and keep it running smoothly so there are no bumps in the road. Their watch will be glued to them to make sure you don’t miss a beat on the biggest day of your life. However, some wedding day coordinators want to charge an arm and a leg for their services, but no worries! If you look around, you will see that you can find a great price for these services. Just always be sure to check out reviews from other brides if there are any listed – this will also give you peace of mind J

Next tip – Word of Mouth! There is nothing better than hearing about someone’s amazing services for a great price! That ‘s how I found a few of my vendors. I asked around to some of my friends who recently became brides, posted on my social media sites, and asked for any great recommendations in the area. SCORE! I found a few great vendors from word of mouth.

Barter! If you have any tricks or trades up your sleeves – don’t be afraid to ask a vendor to barter with you.

Plan your big day with the help of your family & friends! Wedding planners are a tad bit pricey, so planning your wedding day yourself can be tons of fun and can save you a pretty penny! The next recommendation I suggest if you do plan it yourself, start EARLY! This will cut out a lot of nerves and stress later on down the road!

DIY! (Do it yourself) This is kind of like the new black, right? Creating custom pieces that you can share with your family and friends is not only money saving, but it’s also a special keepsake that you can leave your guests with. Um, HELLLLLLO Pinterest! If you have an idea of a DIY piece you want to create but don’t really know where or how to start, check out Pinterest and you will most likely be able to find something along the lines of what you’re looking for.

Well, ya’ll – I hope you guys enjoyed some of the budget-friendly tips I have shared with you today. Tune in next week where I will be talking ALL about my most special day – my wedding! xoxo
