Wedding Wednesday! “Real Bride” Chandra Gives Us The Inside Scoop About Negotiating!December 4th, 2013
Is it possible to keep the costs low for your special day while making sure you’re still getting exactly what you want? – There are definitely some ways to negotiate on costs!
For one, you should never take the first offer you come across. In the wedding industry, there are many businesses that are willing to do whatever it takes to earn your business and hopefully, receive referrals from you in the future. The venue, photographer, cake baker, florist, wedding coordinators, etc are all vendors that can vary in price, so be sure to check out all of your options before jumping on board with something because you love it. What I have noticed is that the vendors located in the heart of a city tend to be a little more expensive & somewhat more unwilling to budge on price – while vendors who are located on the outskirts of a city, in more of a private setting; who are family owned and operated have seemed a little bit more willing to work with you on whatever it is that you need – including negotiations on price. Many venues will include linens, tables, chairs & other necessities for your big day as well! Negotiating with vendors is always a time to put on your best poker face!
