Wedding Wednesday! Chandra’s Sister Blogs About The Best Bridal Shower She Threw For Chandra!October 30th, 2013
First of all, it was an honor getting to celebrate one of the most important people in my life, my sister and bride to be – Chandra. A woman’s bridal shower is meant to be a joyous celebration anticipating her wedding to come, and we did just that! Chandra chose myself and our other triplet sister, Jordan; to both be her Maids of Honor. Of course she couldn’t pick between the both of us, so why not have two MOH’s? Two is better than one anyways! Hehe
In regards to location of the bridal shower, we were tossing around the idea of holding the occasion at a family member’s beautiful residence, or possibly even celebrating at one of her favorite restaurants. I happened to look up the weather for the following weekend that the bridal shower was going to occur, and the weather was going to be UH-MAZE-ING! A high of 71, cool breeze and sunny skies-which just so happened to be a miracle because the entire week before it was raining cats and dogs. We knew that we wanted to have the bridal celebration outside basking in the sunshine, because after all-Chandra is a ball of sunshine that radiates her inner light to everyone she encounters, so I thought that would be pretty fitting.
A few ideas were tossed around where it should be held, and then finally a light went off-we thought of the PERFECT location! A unanimous decision from the family and the bride agreed, Gristmill Restaurant in New Braunfels would be just fantastic! New Braunfels is a quaint little town, known for its old-timey feel that is surrounded by nothing but nature and beauty. Gristmill also has an enchanting river that runs right alongside the restaurant for customers to view while enjoying a delicious meal surrounded by great company.
When it comes to making a dent in the wallet, choosing a restaurant turned out to be a great idea. It was an upbeat and pleasant atmosphere all while getting to celebrate Chandra. The 20+ guests brought their gifts to the restaurant, where the staff provided a convenient side table for them to be placed on, along with the BEAUTIFUL cake that we brought. A family friend made the delicious cake for a very affordable price. We chose a red velvet cakes that was dripping in peach, pink and ivory icing roses. It was so classy and fabulous! This location allowed us to all have an intimate yet rather lively gathering. We all enjoyed watching Chandra open her gifts along with reminiscing on stories and events that we all have shared together. It was truly a cherished celebration that we will all remember for the rest of our lives, and luckily it was on a very friendly budget as well!
