Fall Fashion Tips for the Wedding Guest
By: Nikki Pennie
Wedding fashion isn’t just for the bride! If you’re one of the many people with a list of weddings on your weekend schedule, try the below ensemble ideas to stand out from the crowd (without overshadowing the bride of course!), while getting the most style mileage for your buck!
Teal is the most fashionable color for Fall and it’s about time! This hue is chic, luxurious and striking. This teal number from David’s Bridal is perfect for attending any type of wedding this season. The fitted, ruched silhouette is sexy, classic and flattering for every type of figure. The V-neck emphasizes your décolletage in the most fabulous way, plus this dress is beyond versatile. You can also wear it to a cocktail party or a more formal date – that’s key when shopping for a dress as a wedding guest. Find pieces that you’d be able to wear again on a different occasion. Pair it with a gorgeous black blazer or funk it up with a leather biker jacket and some killer heels and you are ready to hit the town or the wedding dance floor!
This dress, Style 1335, is divine and incredibly reminiscent of “Studio 54.” The jersey makes it effortless and easy to dance in, but the beaded waistline adds a touch of glamour. The slit is sultry, very Angelina Jolie with a touch of Old Hollywood. It is the perfect choice for a more formal evening wedding ceremony. You don’t even have to try too hard to accessorize, just add a red lip and you are an instant movie star. You can even make like Kate Middleton and wear it again to another formal evening event or gala, or even to your birthday dinner; why not?!
I adore this ensemble, it is beyond chic! The silvery grey/blue hue is luxé for the fall and winter seasons and is a demure touch for most skin tones. Lace has been a huge trend in fashion – it’s elegant and gives that vintage touch. The calf skirt length is on point style-wise and is beyond feminine. This is an outfit I would love to wear to a wedding immediately! It’s ideal for any type of ceremony, plus it’s ageless and timeless. I would also pair the jacket with jeans and heels for a dinner party or wear the skirt with a more casual top. I could picture fashionably edgy stars like Diane Kruger or Diane Keaton in this!
