Fall 2017 Bridal Trends

The best bridal trends straight from our Fall 2017 Preview event.

New York Bridal Week (The wedding industry’s answer to NY Bridal Fashion Week) is in full swing, with over 50 designers showing their newest collections to editors, bloggers, buyers and top wedding influencers this week.

Want to see the hottest bridal trends for the season?  No need to scramble for VIP access and a trip to New York.  We’ve got you covered…

Blushing…blues?

We’ve seen brides opting for non-white dresses (picture pale pinks, creams and metallics) for years now, but a trend that’s just emerging?  Bridal blues. Expert tip: stick to a blue underlay or subtle blue threading so as to not overdo the look.

A new take on princess

A classic ball gown will always have a special place in our hearts, but for the bride who’s looking for something a little less dramatic while maintaining a classic shape, we love an A-line skirt.  Nips at the waist, never goes out of style, flattering on every body type…check, check, check.  Expert tip: want the princess look for your ceremony but also want the freedom to dance at your reception?  Add a layer or two of crinoline under your a-line skirt for drama and remove when it’s time to hit the dance floor.

Back WOW

Dramatic backs are nothing new in bridal (two of our celeb favories: Portia de Rossi and Chrissy Teigen) but these styles take back interest to a new level.  Super deep plunging backs, illusion mesh, beaded and lace details make these some of the most swoon-worthy styles we’ve seen for the coming season.  Expert tip: Invest in appropriate undergarments so you’re not worried about any wardrobe malfunctions.

So, which bridal trends from this season’s bridal fashion week are your favorite?
