Springin’ Forward With the LWD

by Jeannie Mai, Celebrity Fashion Expert

Aaahh.. I love when all the telltale signs of spring are here. Cherry blossoms are in bloom, stores switch their spicy candles to floral sweets, and I start receiving creative, save-the-dates for those upcoming weddings. (I’m lovin online RSVP’s- the greener the better!) This is also my fave time of the year to help all brides switch up their seasonal LBD (little black dress) to its lighter, brighter cousin, the LWD (little white dress)! It’s a must to have one ready in the closet for any rehearsals or more laid-back celebrations, but nowadays the trend doesn’t just stop at the brides. I actually think every woman should own a LWD because spring is the perfect reason to re-introduce ourselves in refreshing shades, and white is an all-time winner.

So whether you’re a bride-to-be, a maid, or a flaunty fashionista (me!) who likes to dress for the season, keep reading to find that perfect one!

Like the LBD, the LWD is a sensational season stopper. The right LWD can give every woman the perfect combination of youth, character, and most importantly, shape. It should fit and flow in all the right places,  once you determine which are your bombshell body parts that you love to flaunt! I remember when Taylor Swift came out for a recent red carpet premiere in an adorable white frock and it immediately escalated her look into a modern, sexy young woman. This version from David’s Bridal not only grants that ethereal feel, but it also takes it a few lengths longer to turn any gal or bride into a romantic Grecian goddess.

Another classic shape for any woman who wants a whittled waist is this high necked keyhole style. I love any dress that features a delicate balance of legs, arms, and even décolletage with this demure keyhole. Plus, the gathering makes it easy to pair this stunner with any wide belt of color to make it your own.
