Wedding Wednesday! Real Bride Chandra Says- “For all of the brides on a budget – this post is for you!”

For all of the brides on a budget – this post is for you!

I photographed a wedding last month and my lovely bride Gracie was SO creative and made all of her centerpieces herself, as well as, all of her flower arrangements! I was so impressed after I photographed the wedding and she told me she created them herself! So, I just had to ask how she did it so I could share with all of the readers here. So, keep reading to find out how to make these gorgeous centerpieces:

This is how she accomplished these gorgeous glitter statement pieces:

She purchased mason jars and started by taping off the area she wants to apply the glitter. Next, a layer of modge podge goes on the jar and then the gold glitter. Next, spray the glitter with hair spray to make it stay put. Remove the tape and spray paint the top of the jar. (TIP: Don’t spray too close to the jar or the spray will cause the paint to look like it’s dripping)

Last step is to let it dry and voila! You have an eye catching centerpiece. You can color them according to your color palette. I just love seeing my brides get creative with their décor. This was definitely one of my favorite DIY items I’ve seen so far. The best part about making these types of centerpieces is that you can still use them after the wedding around your home or office! Try this out yourself and see how it works! To see more of my photography work – visit:
