Beautiful I really loved this dress the minute I tried it on. It looks very high-end and expensive in person - great beading/applique work. Looooooove the illusion neckline - very unique. Also, hugs your curves. My only issue is the dress is so thick (not heavy) that I do not think they could alter it enough. It fit, but the very outer layer is heavy with beads, and did not give as much definition as I liked. It was still very beautiful, but, having a very curvy hourglass figure, I would have used a sash. Old Hollywood combined with Red Carpet Style This is a dress like no other. It captures the elements of Old Hollywood glamor. The fabric is beautiful, the style timeless. Nevertheless, as an artist, I am deconstructing the gown making it my own. First removing the train, and then using the applique lace to lengthen the gown to just a skim along the floor, and then cutting away the fabric to give the gown an artsy, one-of-a-kind hem. I am also removing the illusion neckline, leaving only the cutaway lace applique both front and back in an off-the-shoulder Hollywood Red Carpet fashion statement. The gown will be backless, and edged in lace. I have paired the gown with an antique 1940's cut crystal and rhinestone choker with matching bracelet given to me by my Grandmother. It was presented to her while in Europe with her husband on their honeymoon. I chose off-white pointed closed toe heels reminiscent of the 1940's, and am making a matching clutch with a rhinestone clasp from the fabric left over after removing the train. Although the gown is spectacular as is, I love the changes I am making to its gorgeous style. This is truly a lovely gown and it will be an heirloom piece for generations to come. Whether left as the perfect gown for any bride, or with a few changes it can be yours and no one will have a gown of such individual design. June 6, 2014
No regrets! Loved it! This dress is so unique. It was comfortable, breathable, and flattering. I loved it and so did everyone at my wedding! May 7, 2014
Definition of Perfection This dress is amazing. The lace is so beautiful, with just a tiny bit of sparkle. The illusion neckline is so elegant and beautiful, and the back! The Back! it has the tiny buttons, with the illusion back, so beautiful! I actually picked out this dress online, but took it off my list because it was over my budget, so I picked out a cheaper Melissa Sweet look-a-like. Well the David's Bridal in Davenport, IA didn't carry Melissa Sweet, so I tried this on just to see what it would look like. I fell in love immediately! I just had to get it! I did get a partial discount and I'm making up for it, because I am having two wedding ceremonies, so I feel better. Give this dress a try, even if you're a little self conscious about your tummy.... it hides it and makes you look amazing! I can't wait to see my groom's face! :) March 6, 2014
