Second time is the Charm!
I saw this dress in the Fall Catalog and thought how gorgeous this dress was! I had already purchase a bridal gown from DB. When I went in to pick up my first gown, I had asked about this one, but, unfortunately, someone had just purchase the floor sample.
I made my original purchase out of a different store, 3 hours from where I currently live (military.) Anyway, I thought I would try my luck and see if they have it at the local DB where I'm stationed at. Sure enough, they had a size 6 on the mannequin! I tried it on, and I just couldn't stop smiling! I felt so beautiful, I felt like a bride! I didn't want to take this dress off!
The other dress I originally purchase (still hanging in the garment bag in my closet) didn't make me feel this way! I didn't care about my first dress! I didn't care if I couldn't return it, and I didn't care if I had to buy THE ONE! And so I said YES! YES THIS IS THE DRESS!
I thought the Taffeta would be a "cheap looking" this was not definitely the case! The ruffles, the sash, the ruching (sp?) the train, it makes it so gorgeous!
It hides all the flaws. ALL THE FLAWS! I don't have the nicest looking body, but I do work out a lot, and the stomach area is my problem area (due to my eating a lot!) This dress hides it so well and I can pig out at my wedding without having to suck in my gut!
My recommendation:
If you fell in love with this dress when you first see it, this is your dress! You do not need to look at other dresses! If you feel that you DO need to look at what else is out there, then this is not the dress for you!
I can't wait til my big day to wear this dress and post pics!
And one more thing I forgot to mention, I ordered this dress in early October, and it is now early November and my dress is already here! Although, I think it depends on production. I guess I got pretty lucky and ordered it at the right time and got my dress fast!

Beautiful Fit!
I'm a curvy girl, about 5'6", 155 lbs. And I carry a good bit of that up front if you know what I mean! finding a dress to flatter my curves and cover me well was quite a challenge. I love the mermaid shape of this dress, it is extremely flattering if you have the curves to fill it out! I ordered my dress without the train because I didn't want to worry about a bussle and I am wearing my mom's wedding veil which is Cathedral length, acting as my train. This saved me money because it was cheaper and I didn't have to pay any alterations! I didn't need a hem or anything!!
One note if your purchasing online, the dress is a new type of taffetta material, which feels more like cotton, but it's very beautiful and looks very expensive!
Also, the "ivory" or "soft white" is really just white. So don't order your flower girl dresses or accessories in ivory, just get white, it will match just fine. I'll upload pictures from the big day for you to see!
David's was great to work with. When I ordered my dress in August my wedding was suposed to be the following April. A few weeks later and my fiance and I had to move the date up to this November! They worked great with me to make sure it was in, in time and all the alterations, etc. would be completed in time! Great Job!

Stunning
I found this dress online...went to the store and loved it! I tried on six other dresses, but this one was my choice. I wanted something simple and elegant, but not shiny and heavy. This dress is light weight and fits my body perfect.

This dress is absolutley beautiful. the fabric is not itchy at all, feels similar to cotton. Being a bigger bride this dress look great on. Cant wait until my wedding day.
