Whimsical & Lovely I love simple, elegant gowns which accentuate the feminine figure. The tulle material feels soft and comfortable, and it's perfect for a summer wedding because it's so lightweight! I love the whimsical nature of this gown and will very likely pair it with a cathedral veil since I'm getting married at a church. I can't wait for my handsome groom to see me walking down the aisle on our wedding day! :) March 8, 2013
NEVER would have even tried this on! I'm barely 5'2 and weigh 104lbs, but I still have an hour glass figure....I came into the store and they had already pulled all my favorites. I was going for a line, lace, soft, empire waist or ball gown. Classic, vintage, timeless. Every dress I tried on looked amazing and there was another Galina lace ballgown that I was sure was "the one"...but then my consultant asked if I would mind if she pulled one for me and just try it on no matter what I thought....and I did. I had seen this dress in the catalog, but would have never in a million years given it a second look. The model does NOT do it justice. She has no chest, no hips, and no lines, she is straight up and down. So I didn't expect that when I walked out of the room and looked at myself that I would burst into tears because I looked more amazing than I could have ever imagined looking in my wedding dress. Not only did I cry, but my mom and sister cried, and all of the consultants in the store left their brides to rush over to me and gasp and ooh and ahh. This dress is new in the Galina line so there aren't any bridal pics yet, but trust me, there will be. This dress is TO DIE FOR especially if you are petite. On the right body this dress looks like it could have been worn by Audrey Hepburn on the red carpet. Classy. Timeless. Glamorous. I will tell you that if you are petite and small chested like me...DO NOT let them put the bridal corset/push up bra on you. They CAN and will give you padded cups to slip in with it. It looks much more elegant and classic that way. With the bridal corset on I looked disproportionate. And if you don't believe me at least try it both ways to make sure. These consultants are working on commission. You do not NEED that corset. Trust me. But do yourself a favor and try this dress on. It doesn't look at all like the picture and it surprise you in the best way possible. When we get married this summer I will post photos. March 7, 2013
I browsed online for days and looked at every style, beading, fabric, etc. I had a few saved to try on for my appointment. This was not one of them! I put it on, accented it with the right veil...and bam! I couldn't be more pleased! It fits very well...I will need minimal alterations. The price was way below my budget! My biggest concern about any dress was the weight and thickness. My wedding is right in the middle of summer...this dress feels light when on the body...you won't feel suffocated! It's moveable...especially for dancing! It's plain but very well accented and you can accent everything else with a plain dress! I was also very pleased with the woman who helped me! She was very very patient with me and I must have tried on 16-20 gowns...some requiring different garments! She ran around that whole store...just to make it even more special! I really appreciated it! Also...my advice...(advice given to me so I'm passing it on) TRY on every gown! Different styles...even if it looks ugly on the hanger...you don't know unless you try...and that's exactly what I did and I found the gown I'm going to marry him in! February 11, 2013
