Skeptical at first... When my consultant pulled this dress out, I was very hesitant to try it on. But i remained open-minded and did it anyways. I fell in love almost immediately! It's very light weight and the fabric is amazing! The picture on the website does it ABSOLUTELY NO justice. I would also recommend trying on a full-ish skirt underneath it to get the full effect. I also added a Vera Want sash to mine to add a little bit of color. Awesome dress and great price! September 18, 2012
1st dress I went into David's Bridal only with the intent to pick out bridesmaids dresses. The consultant convinced me to just try a few. She pulled 2 and I pulled 1. She put me into this gown and when I saw myself I cried and I instantly knew this was it. I didn't want to take it off. The first dress was the perfect one. Its a fun and flirty gown for my destination wedding. September 1, 2012
Dream Dress I found my dream dress about 4 years ago (when I was not engaged) while watching that show about brides and that particular store in New York...we all know the one I'm talking about. The dress was called "Dora" and the designer was Melissa Sweet. Needless to say, the store which held the dress closed a year or two ago and they burned all of their dresses. I was crushed. This was THE dress. I had held out hope for it and thought there would be no other like it. It was a silk organza, swiss dot with a sweetheart neckline. Perfection in my eyes. When my fiance proposed in April, I was excited but sad because I thought nothing was comparable to that particular dress. We flew to New York in July for a wedding and I decided to make an appointment at a boutique to just look at some gowns but not make any hasty decisions. I tried on a dress that I had dubbed some what of a dream and it turned out to be nothing short of a disappointment. The consultant picked out two more dresses and the last one I absolutely fell in love with...except for the neckline and the asymmetrical cut of it. I left my information and stated that I would call back and order it. The more I thought about the dress...the more I became skeptical. It had looked amazing on me...but it just didnt feel spectacular. I went to David's Bridal after the gym with one of my bridesmaids (I showered, I promise!) and I had written down the dress name and number along with a couple but wasn't too impressed by the photos online. When I got to the store the consultant told me to look around see if there was anything I liked. I started fiddling but wasn't looking at the name or numbers of the dresses....then I saw THE DRESS. I was in shock... swiss dot, sweetheart neckline and a ruffled skirt beyond my wildest dreams. I looked down on the piece of paper and noticed that this was a dress I had written down much to my surprise. The consultant made me try on about 8 dress before putting me in the dream dress (smart strategy on her behalf...) knowing full well that this would most likely leave me speechless. As soon as I put the dress on, it blew the other dress out of the water. I knew this was the one and I was glad I hadn't purchased the other dress. When I walked out my bridesmaid started crying and I knew that I could not leave the store without this dress. Don't just go by the pictures online, ladies. Do yourself a favor and go look at this dress in person. August 21, 2012
Perfect This dress is very flattering. I didn't think I would want a strapless dress because I have a larger chest, but it looks great on and it so comfortable. August 15, 2012
