Love the dress? YES!!!
I tried on four dresses with my curves . They were nice. Then Belkis brought this dress that looked absolutely plain on the hanger. THEN I put it on . WHen I stepped out the dressing room, my mother kept saying "Oh my goodness! Oh my goodness!". Persons in the store paused. It was only when I turned and looked in the mirror that I saw! I simply said four words "THIS IS MY DRESS". I waited four months to buy it and during that time, tried on everything from bargain gowns to couture gowns. In thye end, I went right back and bought this gown ivory - AND the veil, AND the headpiece AND the petticoat. My wedding was in an orchid garden in Barbados on the morning of March 26, 2011. The dress was light, easy to move around in and (by the way) the photographer LOVED it! My finnicky groom could not speak when he saw me. The tears just flowed. Simple, elegant, timeless, classic. Becuase of the simple lines of the dress, you can then go extremely formal with the jewelry. I was told that I would NEVER find my dream dress at David's Bridal. They were so wrong!

My consultant pulled four dresses for me initially and this was dress #3. I didn't look until I saw the tears in my nieces eyes and she said "Uncle Troy is going to cry when he see's you in this". I was sold

So chic!
I loved this dress! Out of ALL the ones I tried on, this dress perfectly fit my San Francisco yacht wedding. I was looking for something chic, simple and elegant, with a very small train, and not "fluffy".
The dress fit my figure very well; had to have it shortened quite a bit (I'm 5'2"). I added one of the "bling" sashes to add a pop of color: the one on the dress was too plain for my taste. The sash was in the color Marine. I also wore the MaKenzie shoes, dyed Marine.
I was able to comfortably move in this dress, it was not heavy, was not hot in it at all. The wedding was in March, in San Francisco.
I did not purchase the mermaid petticoat suggested by the sales associate. I actually had the seamstress add extra crinoline (and a bit stiffer kind than the one already on the dress) to have more volume on the bottom of the dress.
The dress was purchased in the ivory color choice. I wore a size 6 (5'2", 130 lbs.). The seamstress did a simple, one-point American bustle (over bustle). The dress is light enough that allows for such a simple and easy fix :)
I received SO many compliments on the dress! I am wearing it again for our hometown reception in Texas.

perfect
If you're looking for a simple but elegant, regal dress, this is the one. i had seen it online before I tried it on and fell in love. When I went David's, it was the second one I tried on, and though I loved the first one and my mom cried when I came out in it, I knew this was the one. It fits perfectly and makes me feel amazing.
