Strapless Tea-Length Gown with Cap Sleeve Shrug Style 9T9948
My husband and I renewed our vows for our 10th wedding anniversary this past week, and this dress was perfect!
My husband was a crew member of Air Force One with several past presidents, and we were given permission to renew our vows at the top of the stairs to AF1 at Wright Patterson AFB.
I chose this tea length as the steps were very steep. I also wanted something that would compliment his uniform and not take away from it. The blue sash and shoes were the pefect touch and matched his uniform just beautifully.
I actually purchased two dresses just alike as I wanted to have a long sleeve jacket fashioned from the skirt of one of the dresses. I purchased the first dress at the Clearwater store and they were wonderful When I decided to purchase the second dress, they were sold out....however they found another dress in the Mobile Alabama store and it was shipped the same day.
A lovely dress for a vow renewal or second wedding. Thank you David's Bridal's for the wonderful servicve, and a special "Thank You" to my husband for his service to our country.

It is so me!!!
My husband and I planned our wedding in only 3 weeks and I just wanted a simple yet elegant short dress. We went to David's Bridal a week before the wedding, hoping to find somethingjust off the rack. My friend took over the dressing room, I tried on about 6 dresses before this dress came along, my mother picked it out, and as soon as I put it on my friend said that "it was so me" and it was the perfect fit! I bought it on the spot!

This dress was perfect for my summer garden wedding. It was comfortable, romantic, and elegant.
My seamstress was able to easily hem the dress and let it out, and added hooks to the jacket so it stayed in place. I found the jacket to be quite comfortable. The sash wouldn't stay in place, so I got rid of it altogether. I had the gown hemmed several inches, which made the biggest difference in its appearance. As I'm not quite 5'4", the unaltered length was not flattering, even with heels. I highly recommend altering the length on this dress and wearing heels for the most flattering look.

Stylish and Affordable
I went to David's Bridal on a whim, thinking that it would be an easy place to try out a variety of dress types but scoffing at the idea of actually buying anything there. How silly! I knew I wanted a tea length, retro looking dress for my vintage summer wedding and found exactly what I was looking for at a reasonable price. I'm not sure why this dress is categorized as "plus size," since I bought it in a 10 and by the wedding had taken it in to be an 8. It's flattering on all body types and very comfortable. I bought a slightly wider sash and dropped the jacket to personalize the look. I highly recommend!
