Light and airy
I purchased this dress for my April wedding. I was worried because it was a final sale and the only other review was negative, but loved the simplicity of the dress and the subtle mermaid skirt. Price was not a consideration when choosing this dress, I chose it because I kept coming back to it and it suited my style. I needed something fitted but not tight; I am 5'4" and curvy so a bigger skirt would overwhelm, and something without a defined waist would be unflattering. The dress was both modern and classic, light (it had to be, it was a destination wedding), and had a beautiful lace overlay. The back of the dress was beautiful--the sweep train is just enough to look "bridal" but still looks, as promised, chic. The "black threads" were actually the natural flax-colored fibers of the linen, it was more like a tan, but the flecks were so small I think it only added to the uniqueness of the dress.

Not as beautiful in Ad
I ordered this dress online because the pictures of it resembles a more expensive DB dress. I knew I was taking a chance, but it did not meet expectations. To start, the dress was dirty. Then, upon closer look, I noticed that there were black threads running through the entire dress. Fit: based on the measurements on DB.com, the dress should have fit me perfectly. It was too big, and the top layer of fabric was loose giving the illusion that one boob was bigger than the other. These things could have been altered, but it would have required altering every seem on the dress which would have made this dress much more expensive! Overall, the dress is not worth the purchase or the false hope. Don't buy online. Make sure you try on a dress before purchasing!!
