Classy, elegant, beautiful, affordable gown!
I tried this gown on yesterday for the second time. The first time (which was a few weeks ago), I was with my aunt (who is purchasing my dress) and my sister (MOH) and it was my second appointment (my first was back in February). I had tried on a similar dress to this one at a boutique-type store that was way too expensive, and my aunt saw a girl next to my trying on this dress and asked my consultant to bring it over for me to try on. I remember putting it on and the bottom didn't look quite right because I think some material was bunched up and needed to be pulled down (this dress is a bit difficult to get on, given how fitted it is). I also remember saying I didn't like the bow on the side. However, I think I was really hard to please that day because I was in love with the more expensive dress and comparing everything to it. I went back yesterday with one of my best friends/bridesmaids to try on a dress for her that was kind of my "first love" since my first appointment back in February (T9579 - taffeta draped A-line gown) that I have tried on a few times now and it has been my favorite. I was still having reservations about it for some reason though; I just didn't get that "wow" or really excited feeling when I had it on -- I just felt "pretty." I kept looking at this satin fit & flare dress online since my last appointment and wondering why I disliked it, especially considering how similar it was to the more expensive one at the other store, and decided I'd try it on again and give it another chance now that my head was more clear. I'm so glad I did! My bridesmaid did cry when I tried on the first/original dress and loved it, saying it would be hard to beat that one for her and that it was perfect for me -- and was torn once I later tried this one on (and originally said she still liked the first one better) -- but the longer I had this dress on, the more she loved it and she was just looking at me and suddenly said "No -- THIS ONE." Even my consultant, who was also in favor of the original dress, said that the longer she looked at me in this dress, the more she loved it. Another woman who worked at David's came over when I had the first dress on and loved it, but then my consultant had me put this dress back on and they were all gushing about how great it looked on me and how they could tell I felt great in it just by the way I was standing, the look on my face and the fact that I didn't want to take it off. Even two other women who were shopping in the store walked by and one stopped in her tracks and said "That is GORGEOUS on you -- you're rocking it!" I felt like a million bucks and just knew this is how I should feel in my wedding gown; rather than just looking in the mirror and feeling pretty, I felt amazing and stunning. This dress is so flattering and slimming while at the same time creating nice curves. I tried on a couple of ballgowns yesterday also just to see how they looked on me because I was certain I wanted a fit & flare or something more fitted -- and I was right. This style is just "me." And, the bow even grew on me! I kept saying, I don't know why I was so angry at the bow the first time! I didn't even think I wanted to wear a veil until I saw myself from the side in this dress with a veil on (see photo). I didn't purchase this dress yet but am pretty certain this is going to be the one (in ivory, by the way!) I think it will look beautiful for my fall-themed wedding and outdoor country club ceremony in October 2012, and next to the Lapis (dark purple) bridesmaid dresses!

AMAZING!
I had found this dress on the website, and added it to my favorites list to try on. At my appointment, I tried on around 8 dresses before this one and had 2 favorites, neither of which were really "WOW" to me. I tried on this dress, and it was AMAZING. I absolutely loved it.
I'm 5'4" & 120 pounds, and I figured this dress might look weird on me since I'm short (and the model is tall and super skinny!)...but it fits GREAT! It was a lot lighter than other dresses I'd tried. I was also worried about it being so fitted past the hips, but it's actually easy to move in!
Purchased & ordered it right away! Can't wait to wear it on my wedding day - June 2, 2012!

Dream Dress!
Absolutely stunning!! I was going to settle for another dress after trying on about 20 different gowns. While deciding, the consultant assisting me brought this over and insisted I try it on. The minute I did, I knew it was the ONE!!!! The length was perfect, the size was perfect, it wasl all-around the perfect gown!! I would recommend this gown to anyone!

SO Glamorous!
I bought this dress for my wedding next September. It was the first one I tried on, and kept going back. One of my bridesmaids even tried finding new dresses in the catalog for me to try on, and kept picking that one out- then remember I'd already tried it on. Even the Mailer Carrier lady stopped to tell me I *needed* to buy it. I tried a few more on, then went back to this one. I tried it with a headpiece and looked over to my MOH/Sister and bridesmaids all crying. I knew it was *the one*. It's so comfortable and hugs in all the right places!
