i tried this dress on just a few days ago and immediately fell in love and i only tried on the one dress!!!! i wasnt going to begin shopping for a dress so soon but i was looking around for ideas and found this vera and i drooled over it for months my fiancee finally told me to just go try iy on and i did and it fit like a glove! im a tall bride about 5'9'' 5'10'' and the length was absolutely perfect im also a D cup in bra and this dress unlike many did not make me look too busty i tried the lace chapel veil with it and it was perfect needless to say my wedding gown shopping was done! perfect dress!

I purchased this dress!
I absolutely, positively am in love with this dress! I tried it on a few weeks ago and immediately knew this was "my dress." I ordered it! I love the lace organza illusion piece -- I think it is such a classic, beautiful touch and it makes the dress so much original than the typical strapless gown that nearly every bride wears these days. The dress has a very couture look to it -- simple, elegant, and classy.
The length on the dress is perfect for tall brides -- I'm nearly 6'1 and the length was on point. The hem doesn't need to be taken out at all.
I think this is the kind of dress that can potentially work for many different body types, but it's not a dress that will look good on everyone (if that makes sense). To give you an idea, I am very tall (6'1) and a curvy, athletic size 12 (that was the size dress I ordered), with a C cup bra size. The dress fit me like a glove, but I can also see this dress working very well for petite brides with a smaller frame.
I tried on multiple dresses at David's Bridal, but when I put this one one, three total strangers came up to me and told me how stunning I looked and how, despite the fact that they didn't even know me, the dress seemed "so you."
If you are into a classic, romantic, simple yet detailed dress that will look timeless in pictures 40 years from now, I would definitely recommend at least trying this one on.

I tried about 7 dresses, and one of the things i loved about this dress was the material (organza is incredibly light, and a very expensive and delicate fabric) also, it had the feel of couture, the different layers, the long trail...it made me feel light and like a princess, the Aline really worked for my body type and the ovory color really worked well with my skin tone. When I has in the back in the alterations room (only needed to be hemmed and do the bussle, the rest fit perfectly) every1 there commented on how gorgeous the dress was...it trull is a heavenly dress, i still cant believe i got it for this price, considering how much designer gown, including VW are elsewhere.
Hopefully i love it just as much on my wedding day

Not for Everyone
One of my favorite things about this dress is that it is not for everyone! I think you need the right body type for the dress and a particular sense of style (kinda minimalist/romantic bride). When I tried it on my consultant mentioned how everyone who tried this dress on just didn't look right and the store hadn't sold it. I knew that I wanted something simple and classic (I wanted my grandchildren to look back at my wedding pictures and just think my dress was timeless) and it was nice to find something with sleeves that was chic. When I stepped out of the dressing room, everyone trying on dresses/other consultants/other families stopped and told me how beautiful i looked in the dress and I saw 5 other brides try on the dress after me (but they hated it on). It is not a dress you see everyday, because it has sleeves.
That being said I have a very small bust (which I think is key) and I am about a size 00-0, so I think that I had the right body type for this dress. I think someone who has more curves or a bigger bust might feel constricted in this dress (but who knows give it a shot).
It is a very simple dress. It doesn't have ruffles, bling, feathers, etc. But the lace detail is beautiful. It's a "less is more dress." It is a dress that I think melds with a bride and creates something beautiful. People see beautiful bride, and not just beautiful dress.
I am getting married in Milan and this dress makes me feel like a chic old-world beauty!
I haven't gotten it in yet, but when I do I will post pics.
