Love this dress
I was looking for a dress that had the vintage look but still modern. This was the first dress I tried on and it was everything I was looking for. It flows nicely when I walk and hugs my curves in the right places. I also love the lace detail on the dress and the bows on the back. Can't wait to wear it in 6 months. My only complaint is it will require alterations and the dress is still too long even though I'm 5"8 otherwise I love it!!

so NOT David's Bridal! But in a GOOD way!!!!!
So I really went in to DB not wanting to purchase my gown there, but to try on a bunch of dresses to see what shape complemented my body, and to see what sizing I would need (I am barely a size 12, but unfortunately very top heavy, so need a larger size for the "girls" and will need to tailor the waist of almost any dress). After months of internet searching, I knew what styles I liked, but I obviously wasn't sure if those styles would personally work for me and my big boobs. I despise the sleeveless, boring, cheap polyester satin, over-beaded, look like you belong on top of the cake (or ARE the cake), nightmare dresses that have been popular for the past several years. We are having a slightly vintage/offbeat themed wedding (Art Deco/Ancient Egyptian [but not cheesy]), and I NEVER thought I'd find anything at DB that would even remotely interest me. In fact, I planned on having someone custom make my dress after finding the silhouette I liked best. After trying on a bunch of dresses (the kind I mentioned above, even though I stressed to my consultant the things I was trying to avoid -- to exclamations of, "Oh I know this is sleeveless, but you can wear a jacket!" or "We can add cap sleeves" YES, but I can tell that the dress is still a sleeveless, boring, nightmare), I had given up and put my street clothes back on and was walking out when I saw this dress. I had liked a couple of Melissa Sweet designs that I saw on-line in the past, but didn't know that DB was now carrying her. Well, I tried the dress on, and low-and-behold, everyone (customers and consultants) in the shop commented on it. The others I tried on, some people liked, some didn't, but with this one, everyone gasped and loved it right away - and so did I (I had no one with me, as we've just moved and all of my bridesmaids are in other states). Although they say this dress comes only to a size 12, they can order larger and tailor it - but it takes 12 weeks, so plan ahead!! I plan on bustling the train which makes the dress look that much more vintage (and better, IMHO). It comes with a built in crinoline, which gives the bottom just enough "oomph". Like I said, I really couldn't believe that I found my dress at DB, but for this one, I'm a convert.

Changed Opinions!
When we saw this dress on the hanger, everyone I had with me at my appointment including myself really didnt like it. But wanting to get the whole experience I tried it on anyway just to see what it looked like. IT WAS AMAZING! This dress looks completely different ON than on the rack. I LOVE IT!!! I was going for a vintage, country feel for my wedding and this fit it to a T! I would recommend you try on any dress before writing it off. Love this dress and I can't wait to wear it!
