Flattering This dress is very flattering for my figure. It is also very simple but elegant at the same time. February 21, 2011
A beautiful, elegant dress! This was the first dress I tried on and I just kept coming back to it! It is very flattering, accentuating a small waist and hiding the tummy! I love the ruching and the v neckline is so pretty, with just a hint of cleavage. The best part is, other than adding a bustle, I needed NO alterations on this dress! The back laces up like a corset, so it can be easily adjusted for a perfect fit. I am 5'6" and it is the perfect length with a kitten heel shoe. I did switch out the ivory ribbon in back for a champagne colored one, just to add a bit of color contrast. February 17, 2011
Amazing! When I saw this dress on line, I thought it was cute and simple. Elegant and classic with a little twist. But, when I put the dress on, I feel in love! It fits like a glove and is so flattering! I couldn't believe how much my family liked it. I am so happy that I will be wearing this on my wedding day! February 15, 2011
CHUBBY MOM ---> HOLLYWOOD BOMBSHELL! I have to say, after listening to my skinny friends go on and on about trying (and hating!) dozens of wedding dresses at fancy downtown boutiques (and after seeing bunches of gowns online that didn't come in my size), I was pretty much convinced that my mom and I would have to make my dress, or else I would just have to get over myself and settle for any dress that zipped up! I figured that was just the reality of being a plus-sized bride on a tight budget. But then we went to "plain old" David's Bridal in Springfield, just to get some ideas-- and I found a whole pile of dresses that looked great! I couldn't get over it. I don't remember the last time I felt like I could pull off a strapless dress dress, but there were two that looked awesome. This dress, though, was the very last one I tried on, because it was so amazingly transforming (Oh, hello waist! Long time no see!), and I loved the classy, retro-sexy silhouette. When I got it on (and it did take a bit of help), my mother and sisters went from clucking incessantly to absolutely silent. That's when I knew this was The Dress. AND it was on sale! I'm petite, so it needed hemming and a little nip-in at the shoulders, but otherwise it was perfect, perfect, perfect. Other factors: considering how much shaping and smoothing this dress does, it is amazingly comfortable. I hoisted the skirt up and danced, I capered around outdoors for pictures, and I swung my two-year-old daughter around like always. I was so excited to marry my hubs, I didn't really care about all the other diva-for-a-day trappings-- but this dress made me feel like a movie star. WIN! January 27, 2011
