Unique With a Vintage Flare Originally, I had purchased a different dress for my wedding this past May... It was pouffier and not quite the style I thought I saw myself in when envisioning my wedding dress, but I went with it anyways. About a month later I started having second thoughts about my first choice and decided to peruse David's Bridal website to see if they had anything in that was more vintage looking and more my style. This was the one!!! I went in to see it and have to admit on the hanger it didn't look like much.... Honestly I felt a little disappointed when I saw it hanging and decided to try on other dresses in the store before this one. Reluctantly, I put this one on last and this was it for sure it. Fitted and sophisticated with vintage glamour! Loved the back peplum feature, the detachable train, and the sassy slit in the back which was great for dancing at the reception. Cant go wrong with this dress if you're looking for something unique with vintage flare... Especially for the price! I am actually planning on having it shortened and wearing it on our one year anniversary... Truly a timeless dress! October 6, 2013
Fantastic and Timeless I am a bride on a budget and I also look for quality for the price. This dress is IT!! Mikado is a rare fabric used but it is also classic and elegant. This design is reminiscent of Jacki O or Marilyn Monroe - can't get more timeless then that. I feel I won't look back at my pictures and be able to pick the decade I was married in. I just don't love traditional princess dresses and modern becomes dated...Just look at the modern/popular styles of the 70's, 80's, or 90's. This dress is bridal, a little sexy, and so comfortable. It has a back slit that can show off great shoes. A dress that can be worn on a beach or in a ballroom is rare but this one is one that list. The beading and metalic thread appliques are elegant. Also great when you want that one style for ceremony and another for reception as the train comes off. I have tried on and seen many high priced, high end gowns and didn't find one to match this in style. Tell everyone that is Mikado, Column by Melissa Sweet and they will assume you went to Kleinfeld's and paid tons...but you got it at David's for bargain and didn't even have to buy a sample. My colors are Ivory, Black, Gold, & Silver. I am all about timeless and elegant. I didn't ever want to be a princess...I am not a teen...I want to be a bride and an elegant sexy woman on my wedding day. This dress makes me feel all of that! September 29, 2013
Perfect This was exactly what I wanted. I don't like the poofy crazy dresses, and being on the shorter side I can't wear them anyway. This is a great dress for someone with a petit frame. The detachable train cuts out the hassle of putting in a bussle. The flowers on the back give people something to look at. Can't wait to wear it in January on the big day! August 23, 2013
Breathless I recently purchase this gown. My breath was taken away once I tried this dress on. I had tried on several other dress but it didn't get my attention like this one did. I had my daughter with me when I got the dress she and I was in tears. I also got it tailored to my body. I can't wait until everyone sees me in this dress, walk and greet my husband at the alter in December of this year. Thanks to my coordinator for seeing my vision and finding my dream dress.
