David's Bridal Wedding Gown Preservation Kit Style DAVIDSWGP
At first I was amazed with how great my dress looked in the box displayed with my veil. I actually thought the pressing and display looked better than what Davids Bridal did in the store. Then after looking at it several times I noticed 3 of my rhinestones are now missing that were not missing before I sent my dress. I only have a small circle of rhinestones on my dress, maybe a total of like 8 that go in a circle. That was very disappointing and I have lots of like lint or pieces of stuff in the display window. Other than that I thought this process was great and super easy but I would rather my dress not have been damaged. I would understand if my dress was full of beading and rhinestones but I literally only have a small circle of them on the bow.

It was easy and affordable to have my dress cleaned and stored through this kit. And the final presentation was beautiful. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

I did not buy my dress at David's Bridal, but it was a designer sample gown with lace and beading everywhere. It sat in my closet for a year and a half before I got around to getting it cleaned. Before I sent it in, I took note of any stains on it. I found black dirt and oil on the train, spray tan stains on the inside, and dark soda stains all down the front. I sent it in two weeks ago and it arrived today. I took it out of the box because I want to store it in a cotton bag instead. The dress looks GORGEOUS!! All of the stains are gone completely! The lace and beading is still intact, besides a few loose strings I trimmed. For those of you that don't want to open your box, you can trust that they did a fabulous job. The only thing that I did not like is that they used plastic tabs (like what stores put tags on clothes with). They used these tabs in the back of the dress to pull it tight around the bust mold. They also used them to attach the hem of the dress to the box. It's not a big deal, but I didn't like how my dress was pulling with them and they sometimes used two or three in one spot, which can create a hole.

I purchased this kit for half price, because I got my dress at DB. It was so easy...the kit provided a box for shipping, a bag and twist tie to place the dress in and a few pages for information about optional upgrades, etc... You can place accessories such as a tiara, gloves, a wrap...in with your dress. But, you must indicate that you are including more than the dress and pay for those extras that will be preserved and placed in the final box with your dress. I believe there is a phone number to call for a quote to preserve extra items. It took 10 days for my dress to arrive in Texas from California, then 10 days to clean and 6 days to be shipped back to me. So, count on it taking from 3 to 4 weeks total.
