David's Bridal Wedding Gown Preservation Kit Style DAVIDSWGP
I purchased my gown from a boutique shop that offered preservation service for double the cost of David's Bridal. I got married almost 5 years ago and I hadn't opened my dress bag since my wedding day. I sent my dress and garter in for cleaning and preservation and all the stains are gone! I am extremely happy. Seeing my dress preserved and looking the way it did when I got married is an awesome feeling!

Waste of money.
My gown (Cassini CT258) arrived in the preservation box recently. Immediately, it was apparent that the gown had absolutely not been cleaned. Actually, it looks as though whoever handled it dragged it across a dirty, dusty warehouse floor. The skirt is multi-layer, but it is positively JAMMED up agianst the bottom half of the window. If there isn't a proper box to accomodate multi-layer tulle, don't force it. I'll be taking my gown out of the box and taking it to a professional cleaner to actually clean it, then go from there. My advice is to take your gown to a professional in person. I'd also like to make note that the shipping kit that arrived was an ENORMOUS pain to get through.

I debated between donating my dress or preserving it until I received the email from David's offering 50% off the kit, so I ordered it, figuring I can always donate it later (not planning on having kids). I shipped my dress (with the accompanying lace bolero) and my veil on 2/25/14, it was received 3 days later. I got an email 5 days later that my dress was being shipped back to me! Talk about fast turnaround! I just received my dress (3/10) and I couldn't be happier with how it looks!

At first I was amazed with how great my dress looked in the box displayed with my veil. I actually thought the pressing and display looked better than what Davids Bridal did in the store. Then after looking at it several times I noticed 3 of my rhinestones are now missing that were not missing before I sent my dress. I only have a small circle of rhinestones on my dress, maybe a total of like 8 that go in a circle. That was very disappointing and I have lots of like lint or pieces of stuff in the display window. Other than that I thought this process was great and super easy but I would rather my dress not have been damaged. I would understand if my dress was full of beading and rhinestones but I literally only have a small circle of them on the bow.
