Very pleased! I hesitated for almost 2 years before finally purchasing the preservation kit. I bought my dress from DB but didn't purchase the kit when I bought the dress. My dress had mainly grass and dirt stains on the skirt since it has a long train and got dragged a lot during the wedding. The whole process of packing/shipping/tracking my dress to receive it was really easy and fast (2 weeks total time). I'm very pleased with the result and how my dress looks in the box. The box is sturdy and packaged well, I don't plan on opening the shrink wrap and the dress looks great from where I can see. My dress is very full on the bottom and there is a lot of fabric, it seems to be put together carefully with the tissue paper from what I can see. Overall would definitely recommend this to others. Extremely Satisfied!!! I purchased my gown from a boutique shop that offered preservation service for double the cost of David's Bridal. I got married almost 5 years ago and I hadn't opened my dress bag since my wedding day. I sent my dress and garter in for cleaning and preservation and all the stains are gone! I am extremely happy. Seeing my dress preserved and looking the way it did when I got married is an awesome feeling! March 21, 2014
Waste of money. My gown (Cassini CT258) arrived in the preservation box recently. Immediately, it was apparent that the gown had absolutely not been cleaned. Actually, it looks as though whoever handled it dragged it across a dirty, dusty warehouse floor. The skirt is multi-layer, but it is positively JAMMED up agianst the bottom half of the window. If there isn't a proper box to accomodate multi-layer tulle, don't force it. I'll be taking my gown out of the box and taking it to a professional cleaner to actually clean it, then go from there. My advice is to take your gown to a professional in person. I'd also like to make note that the shipping kit that arrived was an ENORMOUS pain to get through. March 19, 2014
So happy! I debated between donating my dress or preserving it until I received the email from David's offering 50% off the kit, so I ordered it, figuring I can always donate it later (not planning on having kids). I shipped my dress (with the accompanying lace bolero) and my veil on 2/25/14, it was received 3 days later. I got an email 5 days later that my dress was being shipped back to me! Talk about fast turnaround! I just received my dress (3/10) and I couldn't be happier with how it looks! March 10, 2014
