Wedding dress nightmare turned into a dream!
Like many plus-sized brides, I was dreading the wedding gown shopping experience. I was very skeptical that I would find something that didn't make me look like the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man from Ghostbusters. My consultant picked out about 15 dresses for me-- everything they had in my size. This was the third dress I tried on. I refused to try on any more after this because, just like when I met my husband, I instantly knew this was the one.
Since I didn't want strapless, I added the lace bolero jacket. They looked beautiful together.
Don't let the pictures fool you-- the dress is very beautiful, in a simple, elegant way. There is gorgeous detailing in lace on the waist and down the train. The empire waist makes you look way thinner than you are! And the dress is very light and not cumbersome at all.
My nightmare turned into a dream dress, and made my wedding day the best day of my life.

Wonderful Buy!
When I went shopping for a dress I went by myself first. I was dead set against any strapless dresses. The bridal consultant brought me this dress and I feel in love. When I went back with my maid of honor, my aunt, cousin and mother I let them all choose dresses and had the consultant put this one in the room. I tried all their dresses on and then put this one on at the end. No one could deny that this was my dress. I couldn't imagine having any other dress. I will say it was a little hard for my seamstress to put the hooks in for the busheling.

My Dress
We got engaged March 29,2012. And i went dress shopping in june. My consultant brought me every dress in the store except this one.. So my mother who i went shopping with decided to go look around and see if she saw anything, she saw one dress that she absolutely LOVED and at first sight i did not like it, it was too plain i thought i wanted the bling and etc..BUT when i tried this dress on all that i wanted went out the window this was my dress, instantly had tears along with my group of people i brought with me....They say when you cry you know that its the dress. Well i cried like a baby and i didn't want to leave without purchasing it. I'm not the smallest woman, i have hips, thighs and a butt. And this dress just caters to my body and made me feel beautiful. I cant wait to reveal this dress to my fiance and everyone else at the wedding. June 25, 2013...

Saved the best for last.
I tried on 8 dresses at Davids Bridal and I had my heart set on the first one I had tried on, it was a big ballgown dress, absolutely beautiful..then they brought this dress out and I didn't think I would like it, but my mind changed the second I put it on. I loved it. It was so flattering on my body. I'm a size 18 jeans and 38 D chest, and this dress layed perfectly on me. I can't wait to walk out in this beautiful gown and meet my fiance.
