Beautiful and flattering
I didn't want a wedding dress. As a plus size, apple shaped bride to be the last thing I wanted to do was try on formal wear! I just envisioned myself looking like a cupcake and feeling like a sausage underneath. But thankfully I gave it a try. This dress is so comfortable and elegant. It's not too heavy (I didn't wear a crinoline underneath) but was fine for my December wedding. I got it in Ivory, and ordered the matching chiffon wrap for a little more coverage and to make it a bit more appropriate for winter. The beading around the empire waist and along the back train is just enough. It was thick enough to define a waist (which I DO NOT have), and looked great in photos from every angle. I got the 26 and it zipped, but I decided to have the corset back put in because I wanted to make sure I was comfortable and I thought it looked a bit more elegant once the back was bustled. If you are a hard to fit apple like me, please try this on. Even if you don't like the style, it will give you a great confidence boost!

Simple & Elegant
I did not pick this dress as one of my favorites at first, but when I saw it at the store & tried it on it was amazing! It was exactly what I was looking for. The dress was not overwhelming, and very elegant. I love the chiffon material, and the detail under the bust & down the train. It is very flowing, and not heavy at all. I wanted a dress I could move around in easily & be able to dance in, so this dress was perfect! My wedding is in August 2013, and I cannot wait to put it on & walk down the aisle to my amazing fiance!

Classic & Beautiful
I had looked at a few dresses online prior to my meeting at the actual store and there was something about this dress that kept my interest. I had actually scheduled to go to 2 different store, 1 David's and the other was....lets just say NOT David's (in so, so many ways). Well I had gone to the other store first and had horrible experience to the point that I was ready to get married in sweats....yes I actually said this. I'm sorry but when you are a plus size bride and the 'little size 4 ray of sunshine consultant' hands you and your (also plus size bridesmaids) girls a couple of size 8 dresses to try on and say, 'here I guess you can try these on' it pretty much kills the spirit of wedding dress shopping. Then I went to David's Bridal in Green Bay, WI and it was a 180 change from the first place. I was given dresses to try on that actually fit me, every dress I liked they had in my size, and that just made all of the difference in the world. The consultant never treated me differently because of my size. I was torn between this dress and a different one but this dress had my heart...plus my mom cried when she saw me in it, I think that is a sign :) This classic and beautiful dress made me feel just that, classically beautiful and not a plus size fat bride who was stuck with the 1 dress that actually fit. My friends and family loved it too. Plus it fit perfectly the only alteration made was to put in the ties for the back. I'm 5'4 and wear a size 24 but I tend to be bigger through my rib and chest area. The size 26 dress was a perfect fit and I felt as though I looked thinner as well. Thank you David's Bridal for making me feel beautiful.....and another bonus this dress is 100% affordable!

Gorgeous Dress
This dress is very flattering. I got this dress when I was a little heavier and I tried it on again now that I've lost weight and it just looks wonderful. I'm having a destination beach wedding, and I think this is a very beachy type dress. Flowy and flattering. It's a great dress.
