Loved my dress I never even thought about trying this dress on, until my cousin who was shopping with me pointed to the mannequin and said I HAD to try this dress on. I didn't like it on the mannequin, but as soon as I saw myself in the mirror, I knew this was the one. It fit my body so well. I'm 5'3" 140 lbs. and I'm kinda wide in the hip area. This dress hugged my curves perfectly, and made my waist look TINY! I did make one alteration to the dress. Because I am quite curvy, I wanted the dress to fit a little bit more like a mermaid dress would. So I had the seamstress at David's Bridal taper the sides of the skirt all the way down to my knee. It looked so much better! I got so many compliments on my wedding day. My only complaint is the material of the dress wrinkles VERY easily. By the time I was walking down the aisle, there were already some huge wrinkles on the front of the skirt from sitting in the car on the way to the ceremony. So the dress looks a bit messy in some of the photos. Other than that, I absolutely loved my dress. October 5, 2012
Love the dress I'm having a small wedding about 40 people and getting married in a castle in Florida in march of 2013. I tried on a few dresses and fell in love with this one. It looks terrific! September 16, 2012
Lovely! The only dress style I didn't want was a halter...until my mother made me try this dress on. I just fell in love with it, and it fit like it was made just for me! August 20, 2012
Classic, but gaps slightly This dress was fantastic and fit my form beautifully! It really shows off a womanly shape. I didn't have any trouble with the snap behind the neck coming undone (even though I forgot to reinforce it like I read I should) but I did notice in my photos that the fabric gaped where it wrapped around my left side, right at the rhinestone belt. This made a bulge at my waist in most of my pictures. I strongly suggest putting it on and having someone take pictures of you so you can see if it does the same to you and if it does, to secure that fabric with fabric tape. It also showed a little more cleavage than I desired. There was also a gap near the arms on the bust that protruded a little like "wings", so watch for that. But all in all, it was beautiful and I wouldn't have wanted any other dress. It was perfect for me! For perspective, I am 5'4" and 145 lbs, with a 36 DD bust. I wore the size 10 and no alterations were made. I didn't upload pictures that show the dress at it's best, only pictures that can help other brides avoid some of the small undesirable habits that should be watched for. Most of the pictures came out fine and both the dress and me in the dress look beautiful! It really is a fantastic gown. My wedding was a 1940's classic Hollywood theme and my colors were gold and turquoise with other peacock shades. August 14, 2012
