My Dream Dress
Love love love this dress! Can't wait for my husband-to-be to see me in it!!
The beaded sash it comes with doesn't seem to go with the dress, and it is not my style, so I removed it and added a pale pink sash instead. Also, I added the fit and flare skirt to it, to give it even more curves! (the super skinny chic in the picture makes the dress look too blah.)
The 4 petite is PERFECT for me, and I won't need to make any alterations to the dress. (Im 5'3, 34D, 120lbs.)
It is light weight and I feel so free and natural in it.
I love everything about this dress, and I can not wait to get married in it!

Terrible Factory Photo, BEAUTIFUL Dress
I must say that the factory photo of this dress does not do it justice AT ALL. If I had been browsing online I never ever would have given this dress a second look. I am getting married in October 2012 and I just went this past weekend to David's Bridal to look at dresses. I had planned on getting something short, but I liked the vintage look with the lace so I tried it on. It was the second dress I tried on and even though I tried on 4 or 5 more after it, I just kept going back to it. It's simply gorgeous when it's on you. The lace is not overwhelming and the tulle gives it a lovely soft, flowing feeling. I did not feel constricted or too tight in it like most of the other dresses I tried on. It really fit me, it fit my theme, and I bought it that day. The cap sleeves and the keyhole back really made it for me. It was such an interesting touch. However I will be removing the sash as I think it looks so much better without it. The dress I tried on in the store had had its sash removed and the idea of putting one on it seemed silly to me. I love love love this dress and I cannot wait to wear it on my wedding day.

Love the Dress
I loved my dress. I knew I was going to buy it before I had even tried on any other dresses - I saw it while at a relative's fitting. However, I will say, you may need to make some alterations to this for it to fit you perfectly if you're not skinny and straight. My wedding was a small-ish (about 80 guests) destination wedding at a winery in Sonoma, California outdoors in July.
After reading the past reviews and trying to guess what alterations other people did, I will share my fixes. Keep in mind that I am short, curvy and also shortwaisted (135 lbs, 34D, 5'5'').
- Had lace straps moved down so they didn't cut so far under my arms. The seamstress cut the lace "straps" at the bottom, and re-attached further down the back of the dress. This helped elongate my torso.
- Purchased the trumpet slip for extra flare, however this slip comes up too high. I had the waistband of the slip cut off so it wouldn't show in the back. This also allowed me to wear some Spanx :)
- The sash just seems cheap and there was no way for me to fix it. I played around with several options but ultimately ended up cutting it off and going with a thicker sash to offset my curves.
- Reinforced the buttons on the nape of the neck.
- Added bra cups (I also wore a stick-on bra for support).
- Added a one-point bustle for reception.
Overall, I am thrilled with my dress. It looked great in person and photographs, and allowed me to move around without feeling constricted. Perfect for a summer outdoor wedding!

This is It!!! <3
This is my dress! I tried on several other dresses, all of them different styles. I almost went with a bug puffy VW dress that everyone loved on me, too, but something just wasn't right about it. When I saw this in the catalogue, I knew I had to try it on. The keyhole back is simply gorgeous. The sleeves add a timeless elegance. While the lace doesn't go all the way down the train, which would be my preference, adding a floor length veil with lace trim all around will do the trick! I'm 5'4, 110 pounds, and lacking in the chest department LOL. I will need to get cups built in the gown for extra oomph, and I will get a different sash (I didn't really like the one it comes with). This gown has a very vintage-y feel, and so perfect for my garden wedding. Very light, and so easy to move in it! The lace is very elegant, romantic, and subtle, and best of all, it doesn't scratch.
