Beautiful gown! I found this dress online. When I went to the David Bridal store, it was the first dress I tried on. I was in love with it. I was looking for a dress simple, yet elegant. This was perfect. I made a couple small changes. I sewed in cups to the top and bought a trumpet style slip to fill out the bottom more. I also bought a bigger, prettier sash. This dress is gorgeous! Gorgeous gown I almost overlooked! When I first started shopping, this was a dress that I flipped past without another thought. But it was something our DB Consultant picked out for me while I was trying on dresses and once I put it on I fell in LOVE. What surprised me the most is how comfortable it was!! It was light and was easy to move around in. I got so many compliments - it's a unique turn from the typical strapless gown. The alterations are a little pricey due to the fabric, but for it's well worth the money for the quality of this dress. I only had to snip a few free threads and I was good to go. I purchased the mermaid slip to wear underneath which helped with the shape (the light fabric doesn't have much structure, and I wanted it to flare out at the bottom). I also purchased a long satin sash in champagne. If you're small chested like I am, you'll be better off buying those sticky silicone backless bras - it's cheaper than sewing in cups. But overall, I say this is the type of dress you have to see on yourself to believe how gorgeous it is! February 9, 2014
My Perfect Dress I couldn't have been more happy with this dress. It was stunning. I've been married a year, and still get compliments on it, when ppl see pictures. You can't go wrong with this dress. November 19, 2013
Comfortable classic! I chose this gown for my September 7th wedding in July of 2012. I wanted to make only a few changes to this dress. To make it my own, I added fabric buttons down the back, and replaced the beaded belt with a champagne sash tied in a neat bow with a blingy shoe clip in the center. I loved everything about my dress and wouldn't have picked anything else. It was a stand out in a sea of strapless a-line dresses that most brides end up wearing. It was easy to move in, and I didn't need any assistance in the bathroom, like you would need with a huge ball gown. I have a pear shape, and the skirt of this dress helped balance and minimize my lower half. I didn't need to wear a bra, since I'm not very large chested. The seamstress actually sewed cups in for me. The bustle also looked great. I was very happy with this choice, and you will be too! November 5, 2013
