First Choice
This was the first dress that I tried on and I loved it but I was really set on getting a sweetheart neckline. So I went home and I read reviews online about this dress and saw how other brides altered it. I ended up purchasing this dress on only my second trip dress shopping and I'm so glad I did. I took it to a local tailor and he did a fabulous job with the neckline. I just want other brides out there to know that it can be done and look great.
Another amazing quality about this dress is that it is super light weight. Which means you can easily pack it for traveling and for a hot summer day it is essential to have this dress.
The only thing that was frustrating was the sash. I stayed with the original sash and although I really liked it, it didn't want to stay up. I ended up having to double knot it and pin it just to keep it up throughout the day. It didn't look terrible, but it certainly was not ideal.
I will recommend this dress to anyone!

surprise!
I went to David's Bridal in Portland, Maine, with my mother. It was sort of an unplanned trip, but I needed to find my gown, especially as my fiance and I had just moved up our wedding date. I didn't expect to find anything; I've had disappointing trips to other shops and wasn't expecting anything much. But once I tried on this gown, and the consultant pulled the blusher over my face . . . I burst into tears and knew this was THE dress. I had always laughed at that cliche, but it was true. This is absolutely MY dress, the one I wanted to wear to marry the man I love. I love the lightness and softness of the lace, and of the underdress. Unlike many strapless gowns, I feel comfortable and secure that the gown is not going to slip or readjust itself. And I adore the chapel-sized train, that lends just enough elegance to the gown. I wasnt even going to try this one beacuse it didn't look like something I would want--I was wrong...this is the one! Another positive is not having to wear that big uncomfortable slip other dresses require!
