I loved this dress I loved this dress. It is the perfect combination of a modern silhouette and old, romantic lace. It was a fantastic pick for my destination wedding because it requires no steaming once you arrive. Definitely ask to purchase a nicer sash as the one it comes with isn't very nice. I only gave it 4 out of 5 stars because the construction and materials are quite inferior. I had to purchase the dress in a city outside my hometown and fly with it back home and despite my being careful some of the beading and sequins started to come off. I decided to just throw it away after my wedding because it was clearly showing the wear and tear of some travels and a day of wedding activities (this is not a dress you pass on or reconfigure for another use). However, that was fine with me because I didn't want to spend a fortune on a dress I would only wear once. I definitely recommend this dress! September 4, 2009
Excellent Dress This was the first dress I tried on and right away I felt special. It was not uncomfortable and it worked well in humid weather. The only thing I would have changed would be my shoes; I found heels that matched, but the sequence kept getting caught. So, stick with satin shoes. :) August 23, 2009
If i could turn back time... When I bought this wedding dress I was drawn to it's comfortability, delicate nature and vintage feel. It was lightweight and what I thought would be perfect for my garden-brunch wedding. I am an average sized girl and the fabric seemed to hug my frame just right. My tailor assured me that I looked perfect and that I didn't need a corset or any other silly items to flatter my appearance. I bought the dress and when my wedding day arrived and I put it on I was surprised that what I believed to be a beautiful purchase was not being echoed by my guests. For the duration of my wedding day I was told what a beautiful wedding it was but not how beautiful I was. When I got the pictures back I was shocked to see how unflattering it really was. My stomach, which was by no means large was as my husband so delicately put it "hanging out" in that dress. He is not insensitive and I'd never heard him say a negative word about me either. He didn't think the dress was over all that spectacular. The dress also left red rashes above my armpits after a short three hour reception. The dress wasn't too small either, which might explain those problems. I had thought the simplicity of the dress was perfect for my personality, but I am in shock to know that I regret having bought it and my pictures just make me want to cry. I know that I chose a less than traditional gown, and I had read previous reviews of happy buyers. I guess it will have to be for you to decide. The lace snags also and the bow will come undone without a pin. The sparkles don't transmit onto film, though that was not a concern of mine. I guess all I can say is that it shows everything and be certain your in tip top shape and have a tummy tucker no matter how many sit ups you do. If I could turn back time I'd have bought one of the more traditional dresses that naturally sinch the waist and flow to flatter all. Those gowns can convey simplicity as well. I'm the only bride I know whose disliked her wedding gown and I am typically easy to please. I don't want to deter you if you love this dress as I did, but this was my experience....good luck July 18, 2009
Beautiful Silhouette, Mesmerizing Gown I wore this for my May 30 garden party/ barbeque wedding. So beautiful! The picture on the web page doesn't do it justice. The satin underlayer shines beneath the intricate lace and beadwork on the top layer. I only wore a strapless bra and "invisible" thong underneath -- no need for corsets and such. It is a light dress, so I was very comfortable in the late spring weather. It works really well on an hourglass shape (what I am). It beautifully drapes my body. Look at the pictures! :0) June 28, 2009
