Love love love it! I picked this dress out in the catalog the first time I went dress shopping, and the consultant didn't bring it to me to try on. When I finally did try it on, it fit fairly well though my toes showed when I wasn't wearing shoes. So when I ordered it, I ordered the extra length. It was at least 4 inches too long when I was wearing 4 inch heels! I was very disappointed that the one I ordered was so different from the one in store, but after alterations it fit beautifully. I bought the guava sash to wear for bridesmaid pictures, but ended up wearing it the whole day. I am curvy but not overly busty, and I feel like it accentuated my curves well without exaggerating them. It is a simple gown but the lace and bead details add just enough elegance. It is truly beautiful, just be sure to wear shapewear and heels with it before you order to save you unnecessary alterations! April 4, 2011
Everything I wanted and more I tried on so many lovely dresses in the store. I thought I knew what I wanted: mermaid style to show off the 60 pounds I had lost. But none were "the one," until I found this gorgeous lace dress. I'm getting married in the Dominican Republic, so I wanted something flowy, romantic, and sexy that would travel well. Bingo! I bought a size 8 and didn't need any alterations except for shortening the hem. I bought an extra sash in tangerine for a pop of color to wear during my reception. Thank you for exceeding my expectations in every way. April 1, 2011
everything i wanted! as most people have said, the picture on here does NOT do it justice. this dress is so light and airy and comfortable! i never wanted to take it off. i took it outside of david's bridal to be altered, and the tailor said it was very easy to alter. i had them take it in just a bit right behind my knees in the back, to accentuate the trumpet silhouette. it turned out beautifully! wearing a full length slip helps, especially if you're a petite girl like me. don't listen to the girls who said the dress ruins easily. i pranced around my house in it at least once a month for about 10 months, in heels, across wooden floors, with my puppy, through almost every stress test you could imagine... and not a stitch came out of place! i would recommend using a brooch or pin to secure the ribbon, though, especially if you have a lot of guests waiting to hug you. My type of dress. I bought this dress on my second round of dress shopping. My first time @ DB didn't have any success, probably because this dress wasn't in the store at the time. It was the 2nd one i tried on, and though I continued to try on about 5 more, it kept coming back to this one. My consultant advised that if everything gets compared to one dress, its probably the one. For a while it was tied with WG3086, a completely different style. In the end, this one won out because of my companions reactions (shiny eyes), and its soft, flowy, vintagey feel. Aside from the bust, it doesn't have much structure, so even as a more petite gal, I'm wearing the bustier and slip underneath. I've read this before, but pictures really don't do it justice. It sparkles, it floats, it's comfy and movable. March 21, 2011
