Just bought it!
As soon as I started to look for a wedding gown, I had my eyes fixated on the Helena gown form Vera's 2012 Spring collection. And after that, no one of the thousands of gowns in all the websites, magazines, or bridal shops has been able to attract me.
For the longest time I did't think I can find another dress that I will love but I just don't want to spend that kind of money for a dress that I will only wear for a few hours. That made me very sad and frustrated.
Finally I decided to give the White collection a try. No doubt, when looking on the website pictures, you can totally see Vera's touches in every gown of the collection; romantic, sophisticated, unique and a little bit of edgy.
However, based on the much lower price range, I was not sure if I will be satisfied with 1. the quality of the fabric, and 2. the craftsmanship. I went to the appointment with low expectation but very high hope...
First I tried on a fitted lace gown, and find that the fabric is surpricingly soft and the lace design pattern is very beautiful and detailed even when looking very closely. The stiching is very neat, patterns are matching up alpong the stichings, and you can tell it is well made. I started to feel hopeful.
Then I tried on the floral ballgown from 2013 with the laser cut flowers. the flowers are very cleanly cut, and the beading is very well applied. Althougt it is a very full ballgown, it was not heavy at all. I feel like a princess, but not an old fashion cookie cutter princess. Now I am smilling.
All together, I tried on 5 gowns from the colection and I have to say that I was happy with every single one of them. They are beautiful, comfortable, and special in each of their own way.
Finally I picked this specific one because it makes me feel the most "me". The tull skirt makes me feel like I am in a cloud. It is so soft and light, that I feel like it will be perfect for my summer outdoor wedding.
Also what eventually helped me with the decision, however, is the horsehair flower sash. When i put it on with this dress, it just made the whole look complete. It added that little bit of character and personality to this dress.
Lastly I just want to add that this whple experience was very pleasent - I was there for about 2 hours and it was the day before the sales end so they were very busy, but everyone in the store was very friendly, patient, and helpful. I feel very comfortable and at ease.
Now I am looking forward to the arrival of my order. Hopefully the fitting and alteration experience will also be as well as the buying experience.

"The One"
Went in looking for a form fitting mermaid style. Turned out - it wasn't as flattering on me as it was on the models. Saw this dress on a mannequin and instantly fell in love with it! I was even more in love with it as soon as I tried it on! Never thought I would leave in a ball gown!

perfection
There are not enough good things I can say about this dress. It's beautiful, fits well and is easy to care for. When the dress was ordered for me it came in very quickly. I am so happy with my experience and with my dress. I still fall in love with my dress every time I see it!

Best skirt ever
This dress is so beautiful....all because of the skirt. It is light and soft and draped perfectly. BUT...the top is a really plain thick lace that is not as flattering as some of the other Vera's I tried on. This was almost my dress. I added a sweetheart neckline and a black sash and it looked gorgeous but I still couldn't do it. This was a great dress- just not THE ONE.
P.S. I tried it on again at a different DB the next week and the skirt did not drape the same way. Kinda concerning.
