Allover Beaded Lace Sheath Gown with Empire Waist. Style S8551
This dress is amazing on! I went into Davids Bridal with a few style number I wanted to try on. This was the last dress I tried on my list, and I fell in love with it. When I had it on and looked in the mirror I had tears in my eyes! Its absolutely stunning! I bought it and said yes to the dress.

Beautiful & Reuseable
I stopped into DB on a whim, because my appointment at another salon was days away. I was looking for a simple sheath dress that I could wear to get married on a boat during an evening sail and I saw this little dress, barely visible in it's bag, next to huge dresses. I took it out of the bag and noticed how simple and beautiful it was. I would not have believed that I would like a lace dress- and I would have told anyone suggesting lace that they were crazy, but this dress was simply beautiful and light weight. I tried it on and it looked amazing; I'm tall and slim and it made me look taller and slimmer. It sparkled and was very maneuverable - perfect for a boat/beach wedding- not to mention it PACKS well for travel! I had intended to buy a dress that I could re wear; not a 'wedding' looking dress, but I just loved this dress. I asked Alterations, if they could make the hem straight and remove the small train, to make it easier on a boat and she said she could. I then asked if it would be difficult or expensive, after the wedding, to remove the ivory satin under slip- just below the bust and replace it with a black slip - creating a black/white cocktail dress. She said leaving the bust white and making the rest of the under slip black would be very simple and create a killer cocktail dress. So ladies I'm going to really LOVE wearing this BEAUTIFUL dress in Ivory for my wedding and then make it into a statement Black/White cocktail dress I can continue to enjoy, because the lace/beading on this dress is simply stunning and too nice to wear only once. The pictures do it no justice. To me the ivory is the better color (it's really a cream) to display the beading. Make sure your shoes don't have rhinestones; they will catch on the lace.
Don't be thrown off by the low price; It looks like it costs MUCH more! They need to re-shoot the web layout for this dress; I wouldn't even have looked at it.

I originally wanted Sottero & Midgley Trinity which was $1200 from a boutique. Just stopped in DB today and tried this on just because my mother liked the price. I LOVED it. I bought it and just can't stop admiring my pictures in it. It's just as beautiful as the other dress but 1/4 the price. Definitely worth every bit of $300.
