Gorgeous and Flattering!
I will be wearing this dress to my son's December wedding. I picked out several dresses online then went to the store to try them on. This dress was NOT one of my online picks and it didn't look good on the hanger at the store either. None of my online picks seemed to work for me for one reason or another. Discouraged, I kept looking at this dress, mainly because of the color. Silver/gray is one of the wedding colors and this dress, being slate, would fit into the color scheme. It would also look good with a deep red corsage, which is another of the wedding colors. The jacket is a plus for a winter wedding. I decided to try the dress, much to the dismay of my daughter who was shopping with me. She did not like the dress at all and thought I was wasting my time trying it on. What a surprise to us both once I had the dress on! It is absolutely gorgeous, comfortable, and very flattering! The lining is a stretchy polyester so it is very form-fiiting, yet comfortable, and the tiers give the illusion of the female form without exposing all the bulges of a size 16, 60+ year old figure. The sparkly bodice and jacket are very festive yet elegant. The straps on the dress are quite long and need to be taken up, but this is a simple alteration which I am able to do myself, but should not be an extremely costly alteration if done by the store. I am 5'8" tall yet most of the dresses I tried previously needed to be hemmed. This dress is perfect in length with 3" heels. This dress makes me feel young and beautiful. I can hardly wait to wear it!
